Laparoscopic appendectomy in a child with hemophilia A with inhibitors receiving prophylactic treatment with emicizumab

Surgeries in patients treated prophylactically with emicizumab (including surgical procedures a high risk of postoperative bleeding) are not associated higher risks or technical difficulties compared operations receiving standard replacement therapy. On the contrary, presence blood and its maintenance permanent basic hemostasis allow for reduction doses infusion time bypassing agents. Patients undergoing bleeding require an additional hemostatic treatment during first two three days after surgery. Then duration should be determined individually. We recommend use recombinant activated factor VII prevention/control hemophilia A inhibitors who currently have received it past 6 months. If anti-inhibitor coagulant complex is required, daily dose exceed 100 units/kg. Here we report case laparoscopic appendectomy 8-year-old child prophylactic emicizumab. The patient's parents gave their consent to child's data, including photographs, research purposes publications.
